Solar for Homes: Made Simple
You don't need to be an engineer to go solar. For most homes, the decision is simple based on your monthly bill.
1. Small Homes (Bill < ₹1500)
If your bill is low, you likely use only fans, lights, and a TV. A 1kW or 2kW system is sufficient. The government subsidy covers almost half the cost, making it extremely affordable.
2. Typical Family Homes (Bill ₹1500 - ₹4000)
This is the "Sweet Spot". You probably have a washing machine, fridge, mixer, and maybe use an AC occasionally. A 3kW system is the perfect fit. It gets the MAXIMUM subsidy benefit (₹78,000) and gives the best ROI.
3. Large Homes (Bill > ₹5000)
You run multiple ACs, geysers, etc. You need a 5kW to 10kW system. While subsidy is capped at the 3kW level (fixed ₹78k), the savings on your massive electricity bill make it worth it.
