• MNRE Benchmark Costs: We use the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy's published benchmark costs per kW as the basis for system pricing — updated whenever MNRE revises them.
• State Electricity Tariffs: Tariff rates are sourced from individual DISCOM tariff orders. We maintain a database of rates for 35+ DISCOMs across India.
• Solar Irradiation Data: We use NASA POWER / NREL data for location-specific Peak Sun Hours, allowing accurate generation estimates city by city.
• Degradation & Lifespan: Panel degradation is modelled at 0.7% per year (industry standard for Tier 1 monocrystalline panels), with a 25-year system life.
• Subsidy Rules: PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana subsidy slabs are updated in real time as government circulars are issued. We cross-check with the official pmsuryaghar.gov.in portal.

All calculations are estimates. Actual results will vary based on roof orientation, shading, local weather, equipment quality, and grid tariff changes. We always recommend obtaining 2–3 quotes from MNRE-empaneled installers before making any purchase decision.
