My net meter was installed 2 months ago. How do I read the meter to ensure it is correctly subtracting the solar units I export to the grid from the units I import?

A bi-directional net meter cycles through several readings on its digital display. The 3 most important readings to track are:
1. **IMPORT (often code 01 or 1.8.0):** Total units you took from the grid.
2. **EXPORT (often code 02 or 2.8.0):** Total solar units you pushed into the grid.
3. **NET (often code 03 or 3.8.0):** Import minus Export.
Your final electricity bill will be calculated based on this NET reading.
